Cactus Block on adventure!
This is the sister game to my other GMTK jam entry, Cactus Block on everyday!!
It expands the game from a simple score attack / time attack game with a single level, to a game with multiple levels where the goal is to clear all levels.
Explanation
This is an adventure game. Clear all 6 stages in one go.
Controls
Arrow Keys or WASD: Move
Up, W, X, or Spacebar: Jump
Down or S: ???
Left Mouse Click: Place a Block or Cactus. Which one? I don't knooow....
C or Control: Declare your intent to complete the stage. Requires Point Stick x 1. Point Sticks are earned every 1000pts or by getting all Fruits.
- A Star will appear in the world. Collect the Star to win the game.
- All items become worth 2x points when the Star is active.
- If you die, the Star vanishes and all Blocks and Cacti vanish.
If you get softlocked...
You forfeit the game. Refresh your browser and try again.

where's the star? probably behind a fake wall, right?
finding the star felt fair to me – the game gives you enough clues to follow! here’s some hints, ordered vague to specific: (rot13.com)
Wow, impressive concept. I couldn't stop before I collected all fruits and all gems. I didn't find the star but it was a lot of fun.
I thought this was a cute little game but then I realized there’s a level 2 and now I think it’s fantastic
how do you get to level 2? i got all the stuff!
I like the idea of this game, but this is not that fun to play. The random block placement is more frustrating than anything else.
you can find something exciting and funny. i can be upset if it seems a videogame doesn't care. maybe it really is messy to share likes, if not recognize. interest groups, open platforms, or just careful topics seem great but i don't know. literacy/
It's such a simple idea, but I love the randomized obstacle/platform placement!
wow sylvie cant get into my whys and stuff but this is really fun
