Experimental Mac Version!


There is a Mac version, amazing.

Your Mac will probably say that the program is full of Malware and can't be run, I think the way around this is to go into the system settings and make a security exception for it or something. I will try to "notarize" the release version so this doesn't happen.

I had to change how the cursor movement code works because I cannot seem to programmatically change the position of the mouse on a Mac. I hope it's fine.

I also had a funny and sad time debugging an issue where the controls would flip out when I switched fullscreen. I think I solved it through a combination of trial and error and by accident. Here is how fullscreen switching works on Mac: it will block input for a short time while faking a bunch of button presses, and then kick you out of the graphics submenu. This seems to make it work.

Finally, I discovered a feature of my room generation code that seems to be platform dependent for reasons I don't really understand. Objects in Mushroom Zones may appear in a little different places on the Mac version. For the release version I will try to make sure it is consistent across platforms (it might be different from the current version's placement, but it will be consistent).

Update: I swapped out the ZIP file with a DMG, maybe it will be easier to install without problems. You will probably need to move the app outside of the DMG before it will work. And you will probably still have to somehow bypass your Mac's protection against evil apps since the app is not notarized.
